A good
quality colourful book with bright pictures and clear writing. A lovely
illustration on the cover gave a good impression of the basic idea of the
story. Text was clear and interesting. Jessica wanted to find out about the
‘alien’ and was excited as Christmas is coming very soon. Nice story which went
through the different parts of getting ready for Christmas day, it wasn’t too
in depth and the pace of the story was good. It was a well-written story which
helps remind children about why things are done and friendship. It kept her
full attention throughout the reading and she laughed at Xaliens silliness. The
illustrations were bright and clear. They illustrated the relevant part of the
story being read and gave a good overall impression of what was happening. The
extra illustrations round the text were a lovely extra touch. She loved the
fact that one of the children had the same name as her and she thought the
alien was very silly as she kept eating lights and putting snowballs in her
mouth. Now that we have read this book would purchase more in the Xalien series
as had not heard of it before. I would
purchase more books from this author as the story was well written and easy to
follow so would be good for my children. Excellent quality, soft back but nice
high quality pages. For me it is very good value, you are getting a lovely
story printed to a high standard. It looks like it will be a book we will be
returning to time and time again. I would recommend several of Jessica’s
friends like aliens and I think this would be their sort of book. Lovely
quality book, a good length to read to a young child without them getting
bored. The pictures helped keep Jessica entertained and put meaning to the
words. She was able to ask questions about the book and the characters, like
why does the Alien hang upside down to sleep and she enjoyed spotting Santa in

A brightly
coloured and cheerful looking story. A Christmas tree with gifts and the little
purple alien was enough to entice my daughter to want to read this book. A very
sweet festive story learning about various traditions whilst not dwelling too
much on religion. I really enjoyed this.
My daughter found the story very entertaining, the pictures were well
thought out and the alien’s antics amused her too. The festive borders and
other illustrations brought the story to life.
My daughter liked seeing the alien learn about Christmas on earth. In
general, the alien. She liked finding
out what it did next. I would rather borrow from the library as these are not
"classics "and those are the only books that I purchase to keep at home. A well
printed book with a lovely finish of print. Absolutely value for money. I would
say this is of competitive pricing compared to some similar type books on the
market. I would recommend as this was an
enjoyable quirky little story. A delightful festive story with lovely illustrations,
perfect stocking fillers. The story was touching on human’s festive traditions
with some comedic moments from the little purple alien. It appealed to both me
and my daughter and was perfect for bedtime stories in the run up to

We loved the look of this book when it
arrived. My twins thought the alien
looked so cute and wanted to read book straight away. They could not wait to see what was going on
in the book and how the alien was getting ready for Christmas. The story was well written and a lovely tale
of how this special Xalien was preparing for Christmas day. My twins were loving the story all the way
through. A nice moral to the story too
to outline how important friendship is.
This held their attention all the way through. The illustrations complemented the story
perfectly. This is a fun caring book ideal for children. I had not heard of the Xalien books before
but have been checking online and as my children enjoy reading about the Xalien
I will be purchasing more books from the series as they both think Xalien is
lovable. I had not heard of this author
before but the book is well written and illustrations lovely so I would look to
buy other books by this author. I have
already recommended this and have purchased one as Christmas stocking filler
for my niece. We all loved the story and
enjoyed reading the book. Good quality,
