Yummirings – Stainless Steel Teething Rings Reviews

The product arrived in a neat box and it was good to see that no plastic packaging had been used. First impression was good and definitely liked the look of it for my baby to try it out! I liked the concept – every parent needs some good teething toys and I liked how easy they were for baby to hold, it’s a simple design but very effective. My baby found these so easy to hold and this was one of the things I loved about it. Considering babies have such tiny hands, quite a few toys can be so big and bulky and hard to hold, but these were perfect for little hands and a nice size. This did keep my baby entertained. I wasn’t sure at first at it looks so simple and doesn’t look like it would be that entertaining, but my baby boy loved them and played with them for quite a long time. It was nice to have a toy that made a noise but didn’t play loud music etc. I think my baby liked to chew on the beads but only saw him doing that a couple of times, I think the beads were quite small for him to pay that much attention too and didn’t seem to notice them that much. I think they were a nice addition though! Maybe could have had a few more beads instead of just one on each ring. My baby is currently teething at the moment and these do seem to help him, I think the metal is quite calm and soothing for him and nice and cold on his gums. He also chewed the beads a few times. We have been using them most days as they are an easy go to toy – he can hold them really well which helps a lot as they get dropped less than some other teething toys. Used them mostly at home, but have taken them out and about, when walking in the pushchair as something for him to chew on. They are such a great size to pop into the change bag and keep to hand, not too bulky etc. I actually didn’t clean them in the dishwasher as I totally forgot you could do that – but it’s amazing that you can! So quick and easy, I will definitely be doing that. I found because they were metal, it was easy enough just to give them a wipe over when needed. I probably wouldn’t use them from birth, I see it as being more of a teether, about 4+ months toy I would feel comfortable giving them to my child. But I think they seem safe enough to use from birth if needed, I just personally don’t think a baby needs something like this until they are a few months old. I loved the size of them and that they are made from metal, and not a silicone-based toy like most teethers are. They are so handy to pop in your bag and love how easy they are for baby to hold onto. I think the quality was good. Metal is a good quality material that will last well and they are made nice and strong for baby to throw around, so there is no worries they will break etc. Nice, clean and simple design that adds to the quality. I really like the product but think it is very pricey for what it is. It is a lot of money for such a simple teether toy, along with everything else you have to buy for a small baby. I wouldn’t have bought them if I saw them in a shop without having tried them first. I like the product but just can’t justify that much money on a small toy, so no I wouldn’t buy it. If they reduced the price, I would definitely consider it and they would make a lovely gift to buy. I would recommend to anyone who had a teething baby as I think it is a good toy. I would give this a 4, I think it’s just the price that would stop it being a 5. I think it’s a great teething toy but can’t justify spending over £20 for basically, 3 metal rings. There are other teethers on the market that are nice for less than half the price. This is a lovely teething toy and I think the cool metal really soothes the gums. I think it might be nice with a few more colourful beads on there for baby to play with. I love how they are so easy to hold and make a lovely jingling noise. Easy to play with at home or to carry around with you and so nice for parents just to be able to pop in the dishwasher to clean. A great toy but with a high price-tag. Abby Cope – Nate 7 Months

The Yummikey Toy Rings looked very different from other baby toys or teething rings as they were made of stainless steel and rubber. They looked well made but I was initially concerned that the welding mark on each ring might be rough or raised, this did not prove to be the case but the difference in colour was a little disconcerting. I thought that the concept of the Yummikey Toy Rings was good, but as they were so different from other teething toys I was unsure as to how my baby would respond to them. My baby found the Yummikey Toy Rings easy to hold and was immediately able to grab hold of them. My baby treated the Yummikey Toy Rings rather like a fidget toy, spinning the rings around. He also enjoyed wearing the rings like bracelets and seemed to find this comforting. Unfortunately, the coloured beads didn’t seem to be a particularly attractive feature of the rings for my baby, but this might be because of his age. My baby is not actively teething yet but the rings feel cool and I think will help with cooling his gums when this happens. My baby used the Yummikey Toy Rings every day. We used the Yummikey Toy Rings to keep my baby occupied whilst out and about in his pram. These were easy to keep clean, but we hand washed as we do not have a dishwasher. I do agree these are suitable from birth onwards as a simple and fuss free toy which won’t break easily. I really liked the simplicity of the of the product and the ease of use, even for a very young baby. The welding marks were not what I would have expected and, had I noticed these on the product in a shop, I would not have purchased the Yummikey Toy Rings. They seem very expensive. Personally I would not buy these predominantly due to the price and welding marks. I would not recommend for the same reason. A very expensive fidget toy.A nice toy but expensive. Good quality material, looks good but simple design. Good idea, just better for slightly older babies. My daughter I felt was too young to use these but for my 20 month old they were ideal and used more. Our youngest did not interact with this product but older baby enjoys shaking it and putting in mouth.  Did not notice either of our babies actively looking at the coloured beads.  Our older baby did use these to help with teething. Also older baby enjoyed using and playing with these daily. Mostly used at home during play time for older baby. Didn’t put in dishwasher but were easy to clean in sink and leave it dry. As our daughter did not show any interest in these I would say they are good for 6 months onwards.  I liked the quality of it. Was confident the beads or other bits wouldn’t come off. Overall quality is very good. Personally I do think this is expensive for what it is. For this reason I would not consider buying. I would mention the product to them and outline the price.  If this had appealed to our baby daughter the mark would have been higher. It is a nice product, well made and attracts the (older) babies attention. Just think it’s too expensive for it’s purpose. Barrie Edmunds – Zoe 1 Month & 20 Month old child
