Zebra Small Muslin Squares 3 pack Reviews

I thought the muslins had a super soft material and were well presented in the box. I thought it would make an ideal gift for friends with newborn babies. I really liked the black and white design and Aidan was fascinated by it. The muslins were an ideal size for burping my baby and also for him to hold and lie on. The muslins were so soft and lightweight but also surprisingly durable. My baby has reflux and is often sick  after feeds and these not only looked good but also did a great job. I used these muslins for a variety of different things for my baby; I used them for burping my baby, mopping up baby sick and dribble, on top of my baby’s changing mat to provide a more comfortable surface for him to lie in as the changing mat can sometimes be cold for him to lie on, my baby loved holding them and looking at the black and white pattern and he enjoyed rolling around on them for tummy time. They were a great size for burping and for mopping up any baby sick / dribble. They not only looked good but they were also highly effective. I did not use this product to shade my baby as it was not the right time of year however I think it would provide good shade if I had used it for this purpose as the muslins are very light and are made out of breathable material. I used the muslins as a cover for my changing mat at home and when out and about. My baby enjoyed looking at the design and it made changing him much easier. I research everything I use on and for my baby and I only want to use brands and materials I can trust and have confidence in. The fact that the muslins are made out of breathable, hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial and temperature regulating material is really important to me especially as muslins come into such close contact with my baby’s skin. My baby also has sensitive skin so we are very careful what products we use; these muslins were ideal for him. The muslins were incredibly absorbent and so soft! They were perfect for a newborn baby. The muslins washed well and retained their softness after every wash. They also dried very quickly once washed. I used the muslins everyday with my baby. Having three in a pack was ideal as I would typically use 2 or 3 a day. I used this product every time I burped my baby so at home and out and about on our daily walks. I liked the black and white design the most and so did my baby who couldn’t keep his eyes off the muslin. I think the muslins were great value for money as you get three of them and they are  incredibly well made and is clear that a lot of thought and research has gone into designing and manufacturing them. I thought the muslins were of high quality and well made. They had a luxurious soft feel to them and were great value considering the price of the product. I would definitely buy these muslins and will do in the future. They were great quality, well designed, really soft and very absorbent. I really liked the black and white design, its unisex and I think it would appeal to a lot of parents to be and new parents. The quality is also very high and these muslins have a multitude of different uses.  You can also never have too many muslins when you have a new baby so they would be a really useful new baby gift. I think these muslins are an outstanding product as they are so soft and versatile. They are not just a muslin. They are a comforter, a changing mat liner, a tummy time helper and so much more. They are great value for money too. I really enjoyed reviewing this product as it is something I use every day with my baby and will continue to use. I found the muslins to be extremely versatile and they looked great as well. I loved that my baby enjoyed looking at them too and that they were made with babies in mind not just parents. I also felt reassured using these on my baby’s sensitive skin knowing that they were made out of hypoallergenic breathable material. Lauren Hill – Aidan 4 Months

The product was well packaged as it came in a generic cardboard box. The product packaging was small and compact, with nice colours and a small window on the front of it, to easily see the Muslins inside. The back of the packaging was well presented with information on how to wash the squares and what it’s uses are for. It also came with a card from Bullabaloo, which was light and refreshing with a Stork on the front decorated in pastel colours. Initially I wasn’t keen on the zebra pattern because I don’t really like animal print but our baby seemed to like it and was drawn to the pattern. The stitching around the edge of each of the cloths was well done and presented. The size of each square was an asset but I feel they could’ve been a bit thicker. The size of these Muslin Squares are really good, 60x60cm. These are a bit bigger than the average Muslin Squares available, which makes them last a bit longer. Given the nature of the product yes it was very easy to use. We did use for comforting Archie and he was drawn to the black and white design and the softness of the material. We did use for burping and this was the main usage I had with it because they were light and very absorbent and easily absorbed/wiped away spilt milk etc. Given the time of year we had these, we weren’t able to test to see if they were usable as a shade. However, because they are quite thin I would be reluctant to use them as a sun shade because I don’t feel they would be an effective barrier. For me, I feel these were not effective or usable as a changing mat protector because they’re a bit too thin. Being made of breathable material, hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial and temperature regulating are important to me when selecting products like these. The absorption of the material was incredibly good and the texture was almost as smooth as silk. I wash everything at 30c and these were fine being washed at this temperature. They are also able to be tumble dried which was helpful because they can’t be ironed. I used these, and continue to do so, throughout the day and night. I used these for burping, feeding and general cleaning/wiping. They’re an excellent addition or replacement to wipes for the aforementioned. I really liked that they were light and compact and easy to carry/move in a changing bag. I also liked that they have many uses and are of a really good quality. Good value in comparison to other products, plus the decent  size and quality make them value for money. The quality of the Muslin Squares was really good. They were quite big, well stitched and very soft. I would be happy to purchase more of these because they come in so handy, help stop wastage and money spent on tissues and wipes. When I do buy some more,  I’ll be looking to see if they have other designs and sizes available. I would recommend because they’re a quality product and the overall product experience including the packaging and quaint card which came with them makes it obvious that the company takes pride in the hat they do and care about their customers. Being a new parent I didn’t even know what a Muslin was until the product arrived. Now I wouldn’t be without them, they’re really quite invaluable when raising a baby and they have many uses. The only reason I haven’t given these ones full marks is because they’re a bit too thin which means they can’t be used for the full advertised purpose, such as a sun shade. I would be happy to pay the full £16.95 price tag, as the quality is good and it’s clear they will last for some time to come. Overall I would score the bullabaloo Muslin Squares 4/5. The packaging was well presented and the card which came with it was a nice touch. The only improvement to the packaging, if I was really picky, would be to state if it was recyclable. The product itself was very good. Again, 60x60cm is a good size which allowed plenty of usage. Our baby seemed to like them though I would’ve preferred ones with cartoons or something similar on it, rather than the zebra print. Finally, the 4/5 is because they were far too thin. A little bit garish. Design seemed quite in your face for our tastes. Material seemed thin but soft and the baby seemed to like it.  At first impression thought designs was a bit much. However, the baby really likes the bold patterns which has made us appreciate it more as a source of visual stimulation. Size is great, fits well on a shoulder for burping the baby. Easily folded into a travel bag and takes up minimal space leaving more room for things like bottles and nappies. Simple to use, larger spit ups will come through, however it is surprisingly absorbent given how thin the material appears. It is as absorbent as much thicker cotton muslins. I did not use these for comforting baby. I did use these for burping and worked well. They are compact, but fit well on the shoulder. Relatively good absorbance given how fine the material is. Some leak through for heavier spit ups. As winter months did not use as shade for baby due to lock down and no opportunities to use for this purpose. Did not use as changing mat protector. Really appreciated how soft the material is, as well as how light it feels – Baby is able to move it out the way / not get tangled up in the muslin. We’re worried about eczema, so hypoallergenic and breathable is a must have. Baby found it very comfortable to be burped on and would snuggle up against it. Visibly as good as cotton muslins and these  were a much thicker material. Easy enough to wash, no noticeable problems / no visible degradation with washing. Used these daily as part of burping the baby. Used these at home. I really liked how thin and light they were and didn’t feel like the baby would over heat. Feels at the expensive end given that simple cotton muslin squares can be bought in a larger quantity for less than £10.00. Feel very soft – softer than cotton muslins, good absorbency. Whilst it is a good product, the pricing seems expensive, especially as new parents have a number of expenses. We wouldn’t recommend due to price, however we would certainly compliment the quality. Really good product, pricing is at the higher end. We have been really happy with this product. We used these every day after feeding. We found the material to be superbly soft and absorbent, as good as cotton muslins. The light material and compact size made it great for popping in a bag on trips out, leaving more space for all the other essentials. Our son found the pattern very stimulating and enjoyed staring at it, as well as snuggling up to it as he started to nap, a clear sign that he found the material to be very comfortable. We were impressed with how light the material was as our son didn’t over heat when being burped or when he was napping. The hypoallergenic material is certainly a plus given our baby’s very sensitive skin and a family history of skin problems. We think the only downside is the pricing as simple cotton equivalents are available in bigger quantities at a much lower price. Overall an excellent product that we have enjoyed using.
