ZED Sleep Aid

Soothes babies to sleep, just like the car
Zed mimics the feeling of being in a car. His clever technology recreates soothing low frequency vibrations that are known to send babies to sleep. Simply place Zed on the mattress by your baby’s feet and press the snooze button. The finely tuned vibrations ripple gently through the mattress, comforting your baby and encouraging a deep sleep. Zed can also be used as a portable night light – great for night-feeds and for taking on holiday.

The science of good vibrations
To reproduce a car-like experience in the safety of the home, Zed uses special motors that generate both the low frequency rumbles of the car suspension and the revving of the engine. As the gentle vibrations pass through the mattress, they also generate soothing sounds. Choose from six different vibration modes to find the perfect virtual car ride for your baby.

It comes in a very bright box my 2 year old got instantly excited. I think it’s a fantastic idea the slow vibration works great for my little one, it makes him calmer and want to stay in bed and sleep rather than trying to get out. Easy to follow instructions. This was very easy to use. It worked great as I don’t drive I don’t have that option so it’s a great alternative. I used a Argos for bed mattress and it works fantastic. The light option is good but I turned this off as when he was asleep it was not needed. We use this every night and I also used it on holiday. Mainly used this at night time. After using for a couple of days I noticed improvement in his sleeping pattern. This also helped us both get a good nights sleep as our son normally wakes up in the night. I do think this is ideal to use from birth onwards as it only lasts an hour. Very easy to wipe clean. I think less than £30 for a rested night is a bargain. I like how simple and easy to use it is, it has a great effect and I was very happy with it. Definitely an ideal gift for new mum or baby shower and I would buy it for a friend or family member. I would buy this.  I would definitely recommend as I think it is a great idea. I think overall it a fantastic concept and a great price. I found that it made my son at ease and stay in bed longer. I think it is small and handy with a great price tag, I think it would do very well on the market. Marie Smith – Chase 2 Years

I had never seen or heard of the Zed sleep aid before, we played around with it to figure out what it does and how to use it. It sounded interesting, vibrating the mattress to help get baby to sleep and stay asleep was a unique concept and clever as it is similar to what they may feel in a car seat whilst in the car. Instructions straight forward and easy to read. Once you read the instructions and have a play around it’s pretty easy to use. Yes it worked pretty well, although I have found now my baby only falls asleep when wrapped up even if he is very tired, but the vibration helps him to have a slightly longer undisturbed nap. We used this on a double size mattress (for naps) and his cot mattress and worked well. The light was useful to see where the Zed was but we all like there to be no light in the bedroom.  We used this about 5-6 times. Mostly used for naps during the daytime if he was teething or generally groggy. We noticed an improvement in sleep pattern from the first time we used this. It certainly helped us as parents get a better nights sleep too. Totally agree this would be ideal to use from birth. Easy to wipe over with a cloth. It’s a nice sturdy but child friendly product, I don’t feel it would cause any harm if it got into baby’s reach. I think it’s just slightly too expensive for me to buy it. It’s a cute design so could almost act like a toy although it’s a bit to heavy.  I do agree this would make an ideal gift for new parents or baby shower gift. I wouldn’t buy this for myself to use as my baby sleeps pretty well without it too, if he didn’t then I would consider it, and I would consider buying it as a gift for someone else. I would recommend as this could help parents who have a baby that doesn’t sleep very well. I feel the overall design and concept of the Zed is very interesting and definitely helps babies to fall asleep, making them feel as though they’re in a car seat with the vibrations. It can help babies to fall asleep faster and sleep longer. I think if it could maybe play a lullaby it would be even better. Abigail Sterry – Sid 20 Weeks

When this product arrived, it was well packaged and looked exciting to try!  I thought the concept of the product was well thought out, as a car journey almost always sends Logan to sleep! The instructions were helpful, although the product was pretty self-explanatory. This was very easy to use. We found that the mode which gives varying speeds to stimulate a car accelerating and decelerating worked best for Logan as I feel this is the most realistic to a car journey which he is used to falling asleep too! It’s good that the Zed slowly fades after an hour as this is long enough to ensure baby is in a deep sleep by this point and to not wake them by the vibrations being too intense if they stir at this point. I used this on my standard cot bed mattress. I could feel the vibrations strongly on the side Zed was on, however they didn’t feel as strong the opposing side as expected, so feel the vibrations could increase in intensity further. The red glow was a nice bonus to Zed, it gave just enough light during the night to check on Logan, without the need for turning on a bright light and disturbing him.  I used Zed every night for 2 weeks.  I used Zed at the beginning of the night to get Logan to sleep.  Unfortunately I can’t say that Logan’s sleep pattern improved massively by using Zed! I didn’t notice any difference when I stopped using the product after 2 weeks with him not being able to sleep soundly without it.  Logan did sleep soundly, which gave us a good night sleep.  I feel that Zed is suitable from birth, and Zed may benefit the baby further by being used from the start. Zed is very easy to wipe clean which is a great feature for being close to babies. I think the product is well made and good quality. I don’t feel that Zed offers value for money unfortunately. I find £29.99 very expensive for the product it is. I wouldn’t impulsively buy this product to try it out, and would only appeal to desperate parents willing to try anything to make their baby sleep better! I feel like £14.99 would be a better price.  I like the concept of this product the most. The company have come up with a product imitating a car journey which is genius, as this is mainly a parents last resort when trying to get their baby to sleep! This just saves the hassle (and fuel!) of going out in the car! I would like to think that this would be a good gift for a new parents, or a product to receive at a baby shower to try out! I would not consider buying the product after testing it first now unfortunately. I love the concept and perhaps see it working for other parents, however it had little effect on Logan sleeping better and didn’t see any benefit once I stopped using it either. I would recommend this product to friends if they were struggling with getting their baby to sleep! I would tell them it didn’t have much effect on Logan, but that’s not to say it wouldn’t work with them! Overall I enjoyed using Zed and it was exciting to try! I think a different design could be better as I’m unsure what the robot look has to do with replicating a car journey! The robot/Zed looks good and futuristic, however I think a car design or similar may look and suit the product better! Jessica Holgate – Logan 2 Months
