THE LULLABIES AND NOISES PROVEN TO GET YOUR LITTLE ONE TO SLEEP SOUNDLY

New data released by Bluebell, the smart baby monitor, highlights the most effective sounds babies respond to

It’s proven that particular noises and soft music can lull babies to sleep.  Of interest to new parents searching for the perfect sleep accompaniment, new data gathered by Bluebell, the award-winning smart baby monitor, reveals the most effective noises and lullabies to send your baby off to sleep soundly.

The three recently launched Bluebell Baby Monitors offer a number of standout features, including an ability to track a baby’s sleep patterns and the chance to remotely play lullabies or specific noises, so the brand is able to tell which noises are most effective when it comes to successful sleep.

After a highly successful launch of the Bluebell V1 device in 2020, Bluebell further elevated the baby monitor market by launching three new products into the category with the release of the 7in1, 8in1 and 9in1 models in October 2021. These new models can now come complete with a camera and Bluebell have commissioned and released 12 new lullabies on the devices for parents to use with their newborns. To celebrate these new lullabies Bluebell has delved deep into their lullaby and noise data and the results have proven very enlightening.

Tracking 440,000 hours of lullabies played by Bluebell users over the past six months, the brand can reveal 3am is the most popular time to play a lullaby, as parents use these features to soothe baby back to sleep, whilst the most effective noises to play to encourage babies to sleep soundly are:

The Bluebell Smart Hub, as part of the Bluebell smart monitoring system, provides holistic support to newborn sleep with night-light, temperature monitoring, two-way talk-back, breathing monitoring with real-time alerts and the popular lullaby feature – all seamlessly controlled via the Bluebell app. Utilising the findings from their customer research, Bluebell has collaborated with some of the UK’s most talented artists who have been impacted by lockdown to launch a range of exciting new interpretations of people’s favourite lullabies, to ensure baby (and parents) get the best possible night’s sleep.

The new remixes were launched on 24th November and have been met enthusiastically by the Bluebell Audience, as any new parent will tell you, a lullaby doesn’t have to be used to soothe just babies late into the night.

Commenting on what inspired her work with Bluebell Baby Monitor,  Tara Lily Klein – producer and vocalist shaped by Bristol’s improvisation scene @tlkvox states:

‘The sound worlds I explore in my own music respond to the ethereal nature of dreams… with that in mind, reinterpreting lullabies that have soothed millions of tiny ears over the decades has been a strangely perfect project. Bluebell is combining an expansive history of music with fresh creative voices and technology, and it’s been a meditative joy to be part of that.’

Dr Markus Bergman, co-founder of Bluebell comments:

“Countless research shows how music and lullabies enhance babies’ development. Lullabies especially have been shown to promote relaxation and improve sleep quality in infants. Lullabies as background noise have also been shown to enhance cognitive function, so it’s great for parents to play these songs to their little ones to aid their development and quality of sleep. Lullabies don’t just help with sleep, but many studies have found that they can increase an infant’s attention and brain processing and encourages displays of positive emotion.”

About Bluebell:

Designed by Doctors (who are dads too), Bluebell takes the guesswork out of parenting by monitoring baby’s breathing, skin temperature, crying, activity level, sleep/awake status and sleeping position. Most importantly,  it alerts parents if baby has rolled onto their stomach or has any breathing issues.

The mobile app gets real-time alerts to help keep parents informed on how their baby is doing, receiving monitoring and routine notifications that let them easily track baby’s activities like feeds and nappy changes – helping parents seamlessly settle into a new routine. The tracking capability of Bluebell is also incredibly useful when talking to doctors or health visitors about baby’s development.

As if this wasn’t enough, the Bluebell Smart Hub creates the ideal sleeping environment with lullabies, nightlight,  white and pink noise, two-way talk back and room noise/temp monitoring – all effortlessly controllable via the  Bluebell app.

Since the release of the Bluebell Smart Monitor, Bluebell has gone from strength to strength, generating 5-star customer reviews and receiving multiple awards for ‘Best Baby Tech’ (Hip and Healthy: Mother and Baby Awards  2021), ‘Best Baby Monitor’ (Mother & Baby Awards 2020) ‘Best Wearable Design’ (Dezeen Design Awards  2019) ‘Gold – Best Baby Monitor’ as well as ‘Gold – Most innovative’ (project baby awards 2021) and most recently ‘Bronze Award 2021’ (Bizziebaby)
