Looked compact, small, neat and ideal size to fit onto windscreen of car. Well packed, very detailed instructions and good design. The instructions could be easier to follow but once read a few times easy enough to install and set up. Quality is very good. Durable, will last and nice neat size for car. Not too big and does not restrict your driving view. Simple enough to download the footage by plugging into laptop. Footage was clear and accurate. The camera size is just right, can see footage as driving, clear and good filming facility. I have been using this continually and with so much traffic on the road I feel more confident driving to work knowing this is filming my trip. If anytime in the future I encounter and accident I am confident in the knowledge I can send the footage to the insurance company and have actual real time film of incident, which gives me peace of mind. Since using this I have noticed many cars now have these installed and they are a great idea and keeps you confident and safer on the roads. I have in the past had traffic accidents and having one of these would have resolved the issue in no time. The RAC is an iconic company and gives me total confidence in the product. Very good
value for money and gives you peace of mind when driving. I have already purchased one for my wife and recommended to family and friends. This is certainly something I would not be without now, easy to install, easy to use and gives clear account of your journey. Wow what a neat little gadget, could not wait to try it out. Packaging is very good, you can clearly see product, what it does and all the parts you need well packaged. Instructions I did find a bit confusing at first but my husband helped me out and then all so easy. This is so easy to fit onto the car windscreen and such a neat little camera. Quality is excellent. I had been looking at these as a few friends have been using them. During my trial I was involved in a minor car accident. The normal situation came up as to who was at fault, but this was a godsend. I had the whole incident filmed. I came home downloaded, saved and sent the file to the insurance company. Wow what a difference this made as no question who was at fault all on film. I am now a convert and would not be without this as an invaluable gadget when you are driving on the roads today due to everywhere being so congested. The quality is great, the filming of this little gadget is clear and it is certainly one of those gadgets all cars should have. Superb value for money and produced by the RAC a long established trusted company. I have already purchased one for my son and daughter and they have installed in their cars. Easy to work, easy to charge, film footage clear and now I am confident all the family are safer travelling on the roads. I have told everyone who will listen about this little amazing gadget. A nice sized product. Compact for use in my car. I was expecting the dash cam to be bigger and more the size of a sat nav. The box was nicely presented. The packaging supported the safe delivery of the dash cam. The box was slightly too big considering the dash
cam is very small. The RAC logo made it seem like a trustworthy product. Initially my dash cam didn’t come with a memory card, despite it saying it did on the box. This was sent later. I didn’t like the format of the instructions, they seemed very fiddly. The instructions didn’t answer some of my queries about charging. The dash cam was much easier to use once I actually took it to my car and tried it rather than trying to follow the instructions. I had trouble inserting the memory card into the slot; once I worked it out it was straight forward but initially very fiddly. Likewise when removing the memory card, you need to have small fingers! The product’s quality is very good. The small unit is very robust and it was very easy to affix it to my windscreen. Play back was relatively straightforward, and upon scrolling through the menu it was easy to find the footage of driving. However frequently the footage was distorted for no apparent reason. My
windscreen was clear both inside and out. However, I never managed to download and save the footage, instead I had to view it on the dash cam, plugged into the laptop. I was very hesitant about this at the start as I thought it would be too small, however the footage is excellent. The position of the devise, just below my rear view mirror works very well. Being RAC brand does give me confidence in the product. I’ve needed to seek advice I have looked to their website and products. Initially I had a fear that it would interfere with my driving but it doesn’t. This is good value but I am slightly concerned about the battery life. I would recommend if they wanted to purchase a dash cam. Although I’d recommend one which had a better battery. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Since trailing it I have become aware that many more road users are using them. My biggest hesitation is whether it is a device that would attract
thieves to want to break into the car. I generally seemed to use the device when visibility was good. During the play back of the video there is often distortion and the lower part of the image was removed. I also made sure that my windscreen was very clean. During foggy weather I wonder how useful this product would be. Although the sound can be muted this is a function I wasn’t keen on as it records your entire conversation in the car! Judith Townsend
