My
initial impression of this app was good. I think the concept is brilliant. We
found it very easy to download. The
instructions were simple and easy to follow. This app was very easy for Dixie
to use. I think the age range this is intended is perfect. Dixie had no
problems with it and she loved using it. Dixie really loved this app. I would consider buying the print magazine
this app is based on now. I think the quality is excellent; you get so much in
just 1 app. This is superb value for
money. Great just as it is no
improvements needed. I would consider buying it, definitely. I have already recommended it to friends with
children of the same age. Dixie loved playing with this app; it’s fun and

Lovely
moving animations with clear visual directions on how to turn the page. This is
a great concept to encourage more reading/listening to stories & also
learning science/nature topics as well as the art of storytelling (especially
when children are so keen on apps these days!). As soon as I understood where
to input the code (for the free review) in the App store, it was very quick
& easy to download the app. Whilst the instructions on the Help page were
very useful for adults, it would have been helpful if the Worded Tabs/Icons had
more visual icons (or verbal help) which non-reading children could have
recognised e.g. Contents Tab to have a House Icon, Playback your recording icon
have more obvious visual icon. Aside from the above, the children were
easily able to work through the magazine. Both children, 3.5 and 5 years
enjoyed the app greatly, so believe the age range is appropriate.Both
children, 3.5 and 5 years enjoyed the app greatly. We like the variety: stories, science/nature topics, picture
stories for children to learn to tell stories themselves and a game. We already
subscribe to the printed magazine, so it was interesting to compare the two. The
quality is superb, great animations, super to be able to personalise by
recording your own voice for the stories. I expect this is an average price for
a children’s app. I would have preferred
there to be as much content in the app as there is in the printed version
though (the printed version has A LOT of content). I would suggest making instructions more
child-friendly and to include more of the content available on the printed versions. On the dot-to-dot game it would have been
useful if the undo button just undid one stroke at a time (speaking as a parent
of a perfectionist child!). My children are such fans of the printed version,
that I wouldn’t plan on buying the app until further interactive content is
added. For children who love technology more than printed books, this is a
great app and on that basis I would recommend it. Super interactive stories &

This looked really good fun and I
thought my daughter would like to give this a try. This is a great App with lots on offer and my
daughter got to grips with it very quickly.
It really did grab her attention and she loved to play it. This is easy to download and instructions
very easy to follow. I really loved the
theme of the App fun and educational and loved the fact my daughter enjoyed
playing it as she was learning while having fun. I am not sure I would subscribe to the
magazine but might purchase every so often if something took our fancy. I would definitely purchase this App and have
already recommended. It is great as it
is and does represent good value for money.
A great App for children, fun, educational and my daughter really loved
to play this and kept her attention.
